On January 19, 2019, the first phase of Qingdao Guzhenkou National Defense Education Base held trial operation activities. The completion of the base has further improved the Qingdao military-civilian integration cultural and tourism experience supporting services, and built a platform for national defense knowledge education for young people.

The Guzhenkou National Defense Education Base project is constructed and operated by Qingdao Military-civilian Integration Development Group. The total area of the project is about 50 acres. Among them, the first phase is characterized by "old barracks feelings", rebuilt on the original old barracks base, based in Qingdao, facing the whole country, providing unique national defense education and training, military science and technology experience, outdoor expansion and reserve training, national defense mobilization Training and other special services, to create a national first-class military-civilian integration open, comprehensive cultural and tourism industry project.
